Development of Ten Flats for Community Housing Association - Hornsey Road N19

The project transformed a row of poorly maintained flats above a parade of shops, doubling the number of residences by adding another floor and using one of the original shops to widen and brighten the original dismal entrance passage.

There are now ten one-bedroom flats in two stories accessed from the original first floor deck above the back of the refurbished shops. The new open stair and linked balconies give a sense of small scale community and quiet airy character away from the traffic of Hornsey Road.
